From speaking with an Angel, before a new day has begun.

My family don't know I'm watching them
But I'm watching them just the same.
And I hear each tear falling on their face
At the mention of my name.

They says it sounds like music to their ears
And can be heard over a crowd.
I hear each tear falling on their face,
When my name is said aloud.

I watch them stumble through each day
As they wish the day would end.
And I hear each tear falling on their face
As they talk of me with their friends.

But there are few who truly understand.
This I've heard them proclaim.

Will my family ever be the same?

I know that their smile's could light up the sky,
But I don't see them smile today.

and their blue skies have turned to grey.

I send my family hugs full of love
with the rays of the morning sun.
Then I won't hear tear's falling on their face's
For I shall erase them one by one.

Light a candle for those we mourn,
Into a new life they will be born.
Do not look for them at the gravesite,
They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light.
They have gone into a new world
Where there is no darkness, no pain.
Their light and essence will always remain...

Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place,
They are free to travel through time and space.
When we think of them, they are near,
When we sit in a beautiful garden, their voices we hear.
When we listen to a divine symphony
We close our eyes, their faces we see...

Light a candle for they have not really gone.
With each flickering flame, in your hearts
They will always belong...

They will not go quietly,
the cats who've shared our lives.
In suptle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a meow at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them. . . and always will.
